King’s Lynn charged with arson with intent to endanger life after camper van fire
A man has been charged following the shock incident in South Lynn which saw a camper van set alight with someone inside.
Police were called to an address around Saddlebow Road and Bunnett Avenue at 7pm on Tuesday, with the vehicle believed to have been set on fire deliberately.
Officers attended and 36-year-old Jack Smith, of Hillen Road in South Lynn, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a weapon, arson and criminal damage.

He has now been charged with arson with intent to endanger life.
Smith was remanded into custody and is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court this morning.
Nobody is believed to have been injured in the incident.
Smith remains under investigation on suspicion of possessing a weapon and criminal damage.
