Man transported to King’s Lynn hospital after being rescued from water on Purfleet Quay
A man was rushed to hospital after being rescued from a river in town.
Emergency services were called just before 9.50am on Saturday to the Purfleet Quay following reports of a man in the water.
A rescue boat from RNLI Hunstanton, three fire crews from Lynn and one from Downham were sent to the scene along with a critical care paramedic, while a hazardous area response team was stood down en-route as the man had been rescued from the water.

The man was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
