King’s Lynn event showcases career opportunities with West Norfolk Council
A seasonal staff jobs fair sparked much interest with more than 100 people attending.
Organised by West Norfolk Council and held in partnership with the Job Centre, 150 people attended the event, held at the council’s King’s Court offices in Lynn on Tuesday.
People were eager to explore career opportunities with the council and Cllr Alistair Beales, leader of the borough council, said: “The turnout for our two-hour jobs fair far exceeded expectations and was even higher than last year’s inaugural event.

“One hundred and fifty people came through the doors to meet our staff and managers from teams actively recruiting, including our award-winning resort, streets and grounds teams, along with our civil enforcement officers.
“These roles make a real difference in our community, and the level of interest shows the valuable role the borough council plays in our West Norfolk communities.”
The council has said a wide range of positions are available, including seasonal roles and full and part-time opportunities. Applications are open online at the council’s website: west-norfolk.gov.uk/jobs
