Children in King’s Lynn hospital will feel the magic of Christmas – thanks to toy appeal
A toy appeal has seen thousands of pounds worth of gifts donated to 65 organisations in time for Christmas.
Among the charities and organisations to benefit from the sixth annual appeal, spearheaded by Simon Rowe, of King’s Lynn-based Radio West Norfolk, in partnership with Ward Gethin Archer Solicitors, is the town’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital – which received more than 300 toys.
These will be distributed to young patients to help ensure they feel the magic of Christmas, even if they are unable to spend the day at home with their families.

Karen McGuire, deputy chief nurse at the QEH, expressed her gratitude for the ongoing support from the community and said: “The generosity of the people in West Norfolk continues to be truly heartwarming.
“Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to donate by buying an extra gift this Christmas.
“It is inspiring to see our community come together once again to make sure children, particularly those in hospital, don’t miss out on the magic of Christmas. We are incredibly proud to see the impact this appeal has on the children who need it most.”
This year’s appeal saw £29,000 worth of toys donated and Mr Rowe said: “It is a privilege to organise this appeal each year. The community spirit has once again been overwhelming, and we are proud to work alongside Ward Gethin Archer to help ensure that children, especially those in hospital, wake up to a present on Christmas morning.”
