Youngster Theo Garcia inspired by King’s Lynn grandad Mark Howard to smash Supernova 5km run
A youngster inspired by his fundraising grandad followed in his footsteps and took part in a charity run.
Six-year-old Theo Garcia was the youngest runner in the Supernova 5km run at the Olympic Park in London.
He completed the run alongside his grandad, Mark Howard, an award-winning army veteran known for taking on challenges for charity.

The youngster, who attends North Wootton Academy, looks up to his grandad – and brings in the medals Mark has won for the tough challenges he has completed over the years to school to show his friends.
Theo completed the run in 46 minutes and 40 seconds, 11 seconds ahead of his grandad.
“He was the youngest runner and was really happy he wasn’t last across the line,” Mark said.

“He is already asking to do next year’s event, which is taking place in Bournemouth.”
Theo raised a smashing £500 for the British Limbless Ex-Service Men’s Association, a charity which has supported his grandad over the years.
