King’s Lynn Malayali Community come together for belated Christmas and New Year celebrations
Families reflected on spirit and unity in a vibrant annual celebration, which saw many come together.
The King’s Lynn Malayali Community held a belated Christmas and New Year celebration on Saturday, January 10, which saw a special appearance from borough mayor Andy Bullen.
The Malayali community is a vibrant group of families from Kerala in India, known for celebrating cultural events and supporting causes in the area.

Their celebrations were formally inaugurated by Cllr Bullen alongside his consort, Jane Jestice.
A spokesperson from the group said: “We were also blessed by the presence of Rev. Fr. Babu Chiriyankandath from Sacred Heart Church in Lynn.
“The event was attended by a large number of community members and families and reflected the spirit of unity, cultural harmony, and festive joy within the Lynn Malayali community.”

Officer bearers and committee members present included president Mr Eldo, secretary Jomon Kizhakkethil, treasurer Mr Saju and members Malu, Nisari, Poncy, Litty, Sarath, Jaimon, and Stemin.
