Home in Highgate area of King’s Lynn closed for three months after reports of anti-social behaviour, including violence and drug-related activities
A home in Lynn has been closed for three months after frequent reports of drug-related activities, violence and other anti-social behaviour.
This means that, as of yesterday, no one can access the property on Highgate, except for the landlord and official agencies, during this period.
In a post on West Norfolk Police’s Facebook page this morning, officers said they had requested the full closure order following reports of anti-social behaviour, which also included noise and criminal damage.
The application, which was supported by Freebridge Community Housing and West Norfolk Council, was granted at Norwich Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
“We take anti-social behaviour seriously and use a staged approach – doing everything we can to resolve issues appropriately and proportionately,” officers said.
“We only take significant steps like this when it’s really necessary.”
