Former King’s Lynn Town manager James Rowe rebailed as sexual assault enquiries continue

A former manager arrested on suspicion of sexual assault after an incident at King’s Lynn Town Football Club has been rebailed.

Police were called after reports of an incident at the club’s Tennyson Road facilities on Monday, September 22, with then-boss James Rowe taken into custody on the Friday.

He was questioned at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre in Suffolk, and subsequently released on bail until yesterday (December 17).

Police have now confirmed that he has been rebailed until March 13 as enquiries continue.

Rowe resigned from the top job at the Linnets following the incident, following early rumours regarding an incident at the club’s training ground in The Walks.

Norfolk Police has not officially named Rowe and will only do so if he is charged.
