King’s Lynn man Nathan McKeogh fractured eye socket of partner’s ex in one-punch knockout at The Eagle
A man fractured the eye socket of his partner’s ex after punching him to the face and knocking him out.
Nathan McKeogh, 35, of Burney Road in South Lynn, was at The Eagle on Norfolk Street after spending the evening at Festival Too on June 29.
Having drunk four pints of lager, he became aggravated by his partner’s ex, who he claimed was “smirking” and “winking“ at him all night.

A row flared up, which saw McKeogh, a process technician at the British Sugar factory in Wissington, throw one punch at the victim, knocking him unconscious.
He was also left with a fractured nose and a broken eye socket.
At Lynn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, McKeogh pleaded guilty to actual bodily harm.
In mitigation, solicitor Kate D’Aloia said the defendant “has never had a problem” with the victim.
“There was a degree of provocation, smirking, winking, and the victim was trying to dance with his girlfriend, which made her uncomfortable.”
Ms D’Aloia added that McKeogh had not been out drinking since the day of the incident, and his mental health had suffered as a result of the proceedings.
Magistrates handed him an 18-month community order through which he will complete 15 rehabilitation activity days, 200 hours of unpaid work and 90 days of alcohol monitoring.
He will also have to pay a £1,200 fine, £110 in court costs and a £114 victim surcharge.
