King’s Lynn man stole Calvin Klein perfume from Superdrug in ‘opportunistic’ theft
A man was caught stealing perfume from a high street store during an “opportunistic” theft.
Artur Umarov, 30, who lives in homeless accommodation in Lynn, was caught on CCTV entering Superdrug on Broad Street on November 11.
There, he stuffed a bottle of Calvin Klein Reflections fragrance worth £39.95 into his jacket and left without paying.

Umarov, who is a first-time offender, appeared at Lynn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, where he pleaded guilty to theft.
Solicitor Andrew Cogan, who was representing him, said: “This was more opportunistic than anything else.
“This defendant is homeless and therefore of very limited means.”
The court heard how Umarov currently receives Universal Credit and stole the goods for his own personal hygiene.
He was handed a compensation-only order, meaning he must reimburse Superdrug the full £39.95, and no court costs or victim surcharge were imposed.
Jennifer Johnson, chair of the magistrates, said: “We are giving you a chance to put this behind you and move on with your life. Don’t waste it.”
