Walpole St Andrew woman charged with biting King’s Lynn police officer




A woman has been charged with failing to provide a breath sample and assaulting a police officer in Lynn.

Police were called to Holcombe Avenue at around 5.30am last Wednesday morning to reports that someone was in a vehicle while under the influence.

A woman in her 20s was arrested and taken to the Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

At this point she was further arrested for assaulting an emergency worker after a police officer was bitten on the hand.

Courtney Purnell, 29, of Walpole St Andrew, has now been charged with one count of failing to provide a breath specimen when asked and assaulting a police officer.

She has been bailed to appear at court on Monday, January 22.
